Delphi Enters Definitive Agreement to Acquire Control-Tec
Delphi Automotive PLC (NYSE: DLPH) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Control-Tec LLC (“Control-Tec”), a leading SaaS-based provider of telematics and analytics software primarily for global automotive OEMs, which meaningfully enhances Delphi’s existing software capabilities.
“Control-Tec is a leader in the capture, transfer and analysis of critical vehicle data,” said Kevin Clark, Delphi president and chief executive officer. “Acquiring Control-Tec strengthens Delphi’s position in several key technologies including software, data management and telematics which will enable us and our customers to further align with the safe, green and connected megatrends in the industry.”
Control-Tec’s software provides a complete end-to-end, customizable and real-time data analytics solution which analyzes vehicle testing events during the late stages of product development. This technology allows OEMs to reduce testing cycles, meet launch schedules, and reduce warranty exposure. The acquisition of Control-Tec will allow Delphi to provide even greater support to its global OEM customers that face increased challenges through greater vehicle complexity and heightened regulations as they launch new products.

The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2015.
