Michael Lynch, Veteran JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs Banker, Joins Foros as a Managing Director
NEW YORK, NY, December 12, 2023 – Foros announced today that Michael Lynch has joined the firm as a Managing Director. Michael is an investment banking industry veteran, with several decades of extensive experience in M&A, corporate finance and debt and equity capital markets, advising clients across a broad range of industries and geographic areas. Over the course of his career, Michael has built and run businesses for JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Goldman, Sachs & Co.
Prior to joining Foros, Michael was a Vice Chairman, Investment Banking at JP Morgan for 13 years, advising companies across sectors on critical strategic and capital markets issues. While at JP Morgan, he also established the industry’s leading family office investment banking practice advising on M&A and investment transactions. Michael began his career at Goldman Sachs where he was a Partner of the firm in the Investment Banking Division and over time was responsible for the Corporate Finance Department in the U.S. South and Southwest Region and was co-head of Investment Banking, Latin America.
Michael served on the Board of Directors of Willams-Sonoma for 15 years.
Michael resides in New York, NY with his wife Susan Baker. He is a member of the Board of Trustees at The Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, MA and serves as the Board Chair of Glyndebourne America, which supports the work of Glyndebourne, a premier summer opera festival in East Sussex, England. He also serves on the Board of Directors of East Side House Settlement, a major social services agency in New York City, and as Co-Chair of The Winter Show, the annual art, antiques, and design show that supports East Side House. Michael is a Trustee Emeritus of Rice University.
Michael earned a double major in Chemical Engineering and Behavioral Science from Rice University and an M.B.A. (first in class honors) from the University of Texas at Austin.
