Our Team

Bob focuses on transaction structuring, financing and tax aspects of transactions. Bob advises on all of the firm’s complex assignments and also drives the firm’s practice of raising funds for clients from debt and equity sources to support their strategic initiatives and the structuring of these transactions. In the past year, Bob advised Absolute Software on raising $275mm of debt financing from Benefit Street Partners to facilitate the acquisition of NetMotion and Zuora on the $400mm strategic investment by Silver Lake.

Bob has over 30 years’ experience advising on a broad array of investment and financing transactions across many industries, including experience structuring and negotiating principal investments and M&A transactions involving complex capital structures.

Prior to joining Foros shortly after the firm’s inception, Bob was a Managing Director at AIG Financial Products Corp. in the principal investments and structured financing groups. Prior to joining AIG in 1997, Bob was an attorney with Davis Polk & Wardwell, where he advised on a wide range of M&A, securities and lending/work-out transactions, with particular depth in the area of highly leveraged and crossborder transactions.

Bob earned a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Kansas and a J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law.
