Jill drives the firm’s Independent Board/Committee and governance-related advisory practice.
Jill has over 20 years of advisory experience, working with clients across industries on mergers, buy and sell-side transactions, restructurings and corporate financings. Her notable recent advisory work includes advising the special committee of Startek in responding to the minority buyout proposal from the controlling shareholder; Methode Electronics on its acquisitions of Pacific Insight and Grakon; Allied International on its sale to XL Group; a special committee of an industrial company in negotiations with Icahn Enterprises L.P.; Syms Corporation (with a controlling stockholder) in its merger efforts and restructuring efforts; the special committee of a major telecommunications company in negotiations with a significant shareholder in a corporate reorganization; the special committee of a large asset management complex in negotiations with a controlling shareholder in a corporate reorganization; the special committees of OSG America L.P. and Alfa Corporation in their respective minority squeeze-outs; the special committee of CBOT Holdings, Inc. in its merger with Chicago Mercantile Exchange Holdings Inc; and ABM Industries Incorporated in its acquisition of OneSource Services Inc.
Prior to Foros, Jill was a Managing Director and Head of Governance and Fiduciary Practice at Rothschild, which she joined in 2010. Prior to that, she was a Managing Director in Mergers & Acquisitions at Lazard, where she advised numerous Special Committees during her twelve years there. Jill worked as a banker at Bear Stearns and as a lawyer at Mayer Brown earlier in her career.
Jill has served as an independent director on the Board of Directors of Cboe Global Markets since 2012. She is the Chair of the Finance and Strategy Committee, member of the Nominating and Governance Committee and a former member of the Audit Committee. Jill has served as an independent director on the Board of Directors of Genworth Financial since the spring of 2021. She is a member of the Management Development and Compensation Committee and the Nominating and Governance Committee.
Jill earned a B.A. (magna cum laude/Phi Beta Kappa) from Rice University and a J.D. (with honors) from The University of Chicago.
